General
A native of Southern China, the Sageretia makes a nice indoor bonsai. It is mostly pest-free, grows well all year, and has an intersting bark that peels off to give the tree an interesting and aged effect.

Typical Styles
Informal Upright (Moyogi)
Exposed Root Style (Ne Agari)

Sun and Temperature
Partial sun. Protect from frosts. Bring indoors when tempuratures go below 50F.

Watering
Daily watering.

Feeding
Feed every two weeks during Spring and Summer.

Pruning/Wiring
Prune shoots back to the first or second set of leaves. Sageretia is a fast grower and requires regular pruning.

Repotting
Repot every two years.

Propagation
From soft wood cuttings in Spring or Summer.
